The company was founded by Peter Nuttall, a former service engineer who lived in Cornwall with his wife Joan and their children.
Faced with the daily challenges of sourcing refrigeration components in the Southwest, Peter had a "lightbulb moment" after waiting an entire week to receive a crucial component to repair a display counter. This inspired him to open a trade counter in Liskeard, Cornwall.
Later, the family and business relocated to Stoke-on-Trent, Peter’s birthplace, where the company still operates today. Now co-owned by Peter and his daughter, Kate Fletcher, Cars Refrigeration remains deeply connected to its roots.
